Chaotic checkers with house rules
drAGhts is checkers with eight toggleable house rules. You set the chaos before the game, then you play hot-seat with a friend or against the computer. Miss a kill and you lose a pawn, chain your captures, earn bonus turns and frenzy streaks, and every point shows in the score bar.
Two halves of a setup
Part one is the rules table. Pick the Classic preset for plain checkers, the Chaos preset for seven rules at once, or go Custom and toggle each of the eight rules yourself. The panel sorts out the conflicts: the kill bonuses need the kill link, and the two movement rules exclude each other.
Part two is the board. White plays first, the colours are drawn at random every game, and the computer's pieces carry the studio logo so you always know which side is thinking. So hardcore it is annoying-good.

How it plays
Built for every way of playing
Every square is a real control, so the whole board can be played with a keyboard, a switch or a screen reader. Legal destinations light up green, an illegal pick flashes red and keeps your piece selected, and focus rings stay visible. The game follows the reduced motion setting of your system: with reduced motion on, the selection pulse goes still.
Touch is a first-class input. Tap a piece to select it, tap a green square to move, and every target is big enough for a thumb.
Nothing leaves your machine
The game has no accounts, no telemetry, no analytics and no advertising. It asks for no permission and reaches no server. The only thing it stores is your own records — the last fifty games with their rules, mode and score — and those live in your own browser, on your own machine. Sounds start only after your first tap or keypress, and the mute switch is remembered.
Free and open
Open source with ethical restrictions
drAGhts is free and open-source software under its ethical open-source licence: you may use it, study it, change it and share it, commercially or not, as long as the licence and the Reserved Name "drAGhts" travel with every copy. The archive carries the licence text, and so does the source.
The archive carries no third-party code at all: the game ships zero runtime dependencies, so there is nothing else to credit.
