AGIT is free to use and free to pass to your writing group, under a licence with ethical use restrictions. No trial timer, no feature paywall, no credit meter — the whole studio ships in one installer.

Download the AGIT 1.0.1 installer (535 MB) for Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Run it, follow the wizard, and start writing; your projects live in Documents\AGIT and survive both updates and uninstalls.

Verify the download by hashing the file with SHA-256 and comparing the value above; any operating system can do it, and PowerShell's Get-FileHash does it in one line.

Before you double-click

  • SmartScreen may introduce itself. Direct downloads sometimes trigger a Windows SmartScreen notice for unsigned installers — choose "More info", then "Run anyway".
  • What it needs: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, and about 2 GB of disk. No account, no online activation.
  • Where your writing goes: Documents\AGIT — a normal folder you can back up, move or sync yourself. Uninstalling the app never deletes it.
  • What phones home: nothing by default. Telemetry is opt-in and starts switched off; AI providers connect only after you add keys; sync runs through your own cloud accounts.
