Prototypes

Prototypes

Rough, disposable, one question

A prototype exists to answer a single question. When the question is answered, the prototype is usually thrown away, even when it worked.

Nothing here is finished. Parts appear, move, and vanish between one visit and the next. Nothing on this page is a promise about a product.

Paper trail on every edit

Tests whether an edit history that never leaves the device helps a writer trust a tool.

Status: prototype

Quiet mode for long sessions

Tests whether a writing surface with no panels, no counts, and no sounds makes longer drafts easier to finish.
